The Pantanal is the largest wetland over the continent; it is 210.000km², over three southamerican countries: Paraguay, Bolivia and Brazil.
Most of this plains (140.000 km², aprox) is in Brazil, due to its geological structure which provides flow of water to the Pantanal. The wetland has two differentiated seasons: the drought and floods.
The wetland is considerated one of the most important natural environments with high biodiversity levels. This ecosystem has the highest density of fauna and flora, even compared with África´s plains.
São Francisco Farm’s is located at 160km from Bonito. Starting the trip you will do two differents activities, additionally the lunch is included in the trip’s price, as well as the snacks.
In the first trip, which is in Chalana or boat, you can see a great diversity of birds like hawks, herons, kingfishers and even more. The yacaré or cayman is also common to see, besides, otters and anteaters.
The second tour is in vehicles you shall see native forest reserves, and Pantanal reserves, also rice fields and regional animals. This trip is excelent to identify the flora and fauna from Pantanal.
